Accidentally found your web site link while perusing the Marine Trade Services site and happily discovered a wealth of information on our favorite pyrate! We make museum quality replicas of English swivel guns and various and sundry other cannon & accoutrements. We plan to participate in the NC Blackbeard Fest to be held here in Morehead City in May and will be firing some of our cannons for this event. We hope to travel by ferry from Cedar Island to Ocracoke sometime this spring and will definitely visit your shop when we do so. In the meantime, we look forward to any updates to your fascinating site! Donna, Jim, Terri, Alf, and Tonia <bircher@surfnet1.net>
Morehead City, NC USA - I work the organization that is putting on the Blackbeard festival this June 16-18, in Hampton, Virginia. The Mouth of the Hampton River is where Lt. Maynard placed Blackbeard's head to ward off pirates from Hampton roads. The festival will have music, seafood, children's entertainment, nautical vendors, and Historical reenactments. If you are interested in participating in one of the reenactments please email me at carlyle@downtownhampton.com or John Glass atglass@e2i2.eeii.org Carlyle Bland <carlyle@downtownhampton.com>

HEYWOOD, LANCASHIRE UNITED KINGDOM - I just returned from vacation on Cape Hatteras. My Mom, Dad, little brother and I visited Teach's Hole. . We had to ride the ferry to get to Ocracke, we came a second time just to come to your shop. We bought something for everyone and even took our pictures in the figure outside. Daniel, age 5. Lexington, KY USA - I have to say that Teach's Hole is absolutely the BEST shop on all the Outer Banks (not just Ocracoke island). It's more than a gift store, it's more like a Pirate's hobby shop! I spent five days on the island and went to the shop four times to get stuff. I not only discovered books and artwork I had never seen, but through a fanzine I discovered a whole Pirate sub-culture out there! Also, the Skeleton Pirate Band member statuettes are spectacular. Nice website, by the way.

Warfield, KY USA - My son who is only 4 years old, loves pirates very much. We will visit your site in the near future.

In fact; I am plannyng a trip to ye Carribean right now, and I am sure it will be 'Johoho and a bottle o' rum'!! Bloed is rood, iedereen dood!!!! Your obedient servant,

volkel, Netherlands - Each year my friends and I make a voyage to Cape Hatteras and to Ocracoke, for no trip to Hatteras is complete without going to Blackbeard's favorite landing place. I love the store and exhibit, it is one of the few shops on the outer banks where I always find something I want. I will see you in May!!!! Melissa Moore <mvein@hotmail.com>
Richmond , VA USA - My husband and I visited your very interesting pirate shop in August of 1997. We appreciate the time you gave to my interview of you regarding a story I hope to write about Blackbeard. Too bad all school children can't visit you.
